After the free 7-day trial, you pay monthly or yearly in advance for STV Player+ service on a recurring subscription basis.

There are many options to pay for your STV Player+ subscription: 

  • You can pay and subscribe via our web site stv.tv/player-plus and use a Credit card, Debit Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay

You can also subscribe and pay directly from some of our apps:

  • either in the iOS app using your Apple account - log into your app and visit the Plan page in the Settings section 
  • or alternatively via our Roku app.


Some things to note on payments:


If you are paying in app with your Apple account:


All payments are taken via your Apple Account, therefore: 

  • Any payment issues (rejected, CC expired, etc) should be directed to Apple https://support.apple.com/en-gb/billing
  • All payment details are with Apple and are not shared with STV
  • Payments are taken automatically at the end of the free trial period.
  • Only the monthly subscription is available via the Apple Account.
  • Payment is upfront for next 30-day period.
  • Only one free trial period is available per Apple account.
  • Cancellation mid cycle will not result in a refund pro-rata. Features will continue to be available to you until the end of the 30-day period.
  • You get all the STV Player+ benefits for free, for 7 days. Starting the trial still requires valid Apple Account details as your subscription will automatically start at the end of the free trial period.
  • You can cancel at anytime during the trial and will still receive the benefits of STV Player+ for the full seven days.
  • There is no notification at point of trial expiry. At the end of the 7 days, you will then be charged either £3.99 on a monthly schedule or £39.99 on a yearly schedule (based on the billing option selected.)
  • The free trial is a one-off. If you previously signed-up, benefited from the free trial and then cancelled you will not be able to access the free trial again. You will be charged straight away - £3.99 for monthly billing or £39.99 for yearly billing.
  • You may cancel at any time during the subscription period (month or year), and you will still receive the benefits of STV Player+ for the rest of the period until the subscription is due to expire.
  • Cancellation can be done, anytime:
    • Via the app itself, in the Settings menu > Plan > Cancel Subscription > STV Player > Cancel Subscription
    • Via the device used to originally sign-up, Settings > Click on your Name> Subscriptions > STV Player > Cancel Subscription

  • Your subscription cannot be cancelled by STV on your behalf. You will need to cancel it directly with Apple even if you delete your STV account.
  • In case of issues, Apple should be contacted at https://support.apple.com/en-gb/billing


If you are paying via the web site:


All payments are taken via the credit, debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link accounts used when you signed up:  


  • Any payment issues (rejected, CC expired, etc) should be directed to [email protected]
  • All payment details are with our payment partner Stripe and are not shared with STV
  • Payments are taken automatically at the end of the free trial period.
  • Payment is upfront for the next 30-day or 365 period.
  • Cancellation mid cycle will not result in a refund pro-rata. Features will continue to be available to you until the end of the 30-day period.
  • You get all the STV Player+ benefits for free, for 7 days. Starting the trial still requires valid credit/debit card details as your subscription will automatically start at the end of the free trial period.
  • You can cancel at anytime during the trial and will still receive the benefits of STV Player+ for the full seven days.

  • All payment details are with Roku and are not shared with STV
  • Payments are taken automatically at the end of the free trial period.
  • Payment is upfront for the next 30-day or 365 period.
  • Cancellation mid cycle will not result in a refund pro-rata. Features will continue to be available to you until the end of the subscription period.
  • You get all the STV Player+ benefits for free, for 7 days. Starting the trial still requires valid credit/debit card details as your subscription will automatically start at the end of the free trial period.

  • Only one free trial period is available per STV account.
  • Only one subscription per Roku device
  • You may cancel at any time, and you will still receive the benefits of STV Player+ for the rest of the term until the subscription is due to expire.
  • Cancellation can be done, anytime: Via my.roku.com/subscriptions
