To continue to offer STV Player as a free service we do need to show ads before and during our shows, just as we do on our broadcast channel.
While we do set limits on the amounts of ads we show, there are a couple of ways that you can reduce this further:
- Sign up for the free STV VIP service: by opting to receive email marketing you get the benefits of seeing fewer ads, winning prizes just for watching TV and getting personalised recommendations for our very best shows.
- Subscribe to STV Player+: This is a paid-for option and lets you watch all our box sets and on-demand content without any ads or ad breaks - you'll still get ads on the live stream. Available on all STV Player platforms.
