For those using the Android version of the STV Player app, you may encounter a situation where you get stuck on the welcome screen - with the spinner constantly spinning - and are unable to progress into the app.


To resolve first try clearing the Data and Cache for the app:


  • There are a couple of ways to do this depending on the device you are using:
    • Option 1:
      • Go to STVPlayer Icon, either on your home screen or within the application menu.
      • Long press on the icon
      • Click on App info
      • Click on Storage
      • Click clear cache and clear storage
      • Press back
      • Click on Force stop at the top
      • Restarting the app should prompt login

    • Option 2:
      • Go to Settings via the App Launcher
      • Find Apps and click on it
      • Fine STV Player and click on it
      • Force stop the app at the top
      • Click on Storage
      • Click clear data and clear cache
      • Return to App launcher and open STV Player
      • Login should be prompted.

 

If this doesn't resolve the issue for you then try:

  • Delete the STV app from your device
  • Reboot your device
  • Reinstall the STV app
