If the app is hanging once you've entered the code on the website, then check that you have entered the code exactly as shown on the screen.


If you're experiencing issues once logged into the app, then we suggest you try these in order to see if it resolves the issue:

  1. Logging out of the STV Player App and back in
    When in the STV app go to Settings > Sign Out - click on the sign-out button. Once back in the Fire TV homepage relaunch the STV Player app.
  2. Rebooting your Fire TV device and your WiFi router
    To reboot your Fire TV device: on the main Fire TV page go to Settings (Cog icon)  > My Fire TV > Restart
    Rebooting your WiFi router could help if there are issues with identifying your location or you're experiencing buffering during playback
  3. Clear the cache and Data from the app:
    From the main Fire TV page navigate to: Settings (Cog icon)  > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > STV Player and then Clear Data and Clear Cache
  4. Delete and re-install the app:
    From the main Fire TV page navigate to: Settings (Cog icon)  > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > STV Player then choose Uninstall - you can then reinstall the app from the App Store or My Apps options.


You will need to disable any VPN, Ad blocker or location masking service on your device or network.
