Out of region issues - STV Player

Having trouble with your location settings on STV Player via your FreeviewPlay app? You might be able to fix it by clearing the app's location data. This process will reset your app, which means you'll lose any shows you've saved in the My Shows section. You may want to take a picture of your My Shows list before you start so you can add them back later.

Please note: If you access FreeviewPlay through channel 100, this solution will not work.

How to clear your app's location data

  1. Open the Explore FreeviewPlay app.

  2. Navigate to the Help & Settings tab in the navigation bar at the top of the screen.

  3. Go to the Clear Data & Reset section.

  4. Select the Yes, Clear data and reset button

The app will now reset and reload, and you'll see a region selection page.

  1. Select Scotland. This will bring up a second set of choices.
  2. Select Central Scotland or Highlands & Islands.
