Video may pause during playback if your device does not meet the supported specification below, or if your Internet connection is not fast or stable enough. Even on broadband connections, Internet congestion or traffic can result in choppy playback or repeated buffering.
Some tips for improving playback:
- Make sure your broadband and WiFi speeds are fast enough to cope with streaming video.
- Make sure you don't have multiple apps or windows running that are competing for your devices or WiFi resources.
Try closing other apps and programs to free up memory on your device, turning a device off and on again can help free up resources.
- Make sure your operating system (OS) is up to date.
- Check you are using the most recent versions of your internet browser or STV Player app (if installed).
