Changing your subscription plan

Important: Switching your plan will result in the loss of any current promotion. 

Change your plan 

Subscribed at stv.tv 

  1. Login to your STV Player+ account at stv.tv
  2. Select Manage subscription under Manage account
  3. Choose which plan option you would like to switch to 
  4. Review the switch/payment information and confirm

Subscribed through Apple 

Here’s how to change your STV Player+ plan billed through Apple 

  1. On your iPhone, iPad or Apple TV open the settings tab 
  2. Select your name then choose Subscriptions (if prompted, enter your Apple ID) 
  3. Choose STV Player and then select a different subscription option 

Subscribed through Roku 

Here’s how to change your STV Player+ plan billed through Roku: 

  1. Visit my.roku.com/subscriptions
  2. Update your STV Player+ subscription 

Subscribed through Google 

Here’s how to change your STV Player+ plan billed through Google: 

Via Google Play App: 

  1. Open the Google Play app 
  2. Find the STV Player app 
  3. Tap Manage subscription 
  4. Select the new plan you want to change to 
  5. Select a supported payment method 
  6. Tap Subscribe 

Via Google website: 

  1. Visit play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions 
  2. For the select STV Player app 
  3. Click Manage 
  4. Select the plan you want to change to 
  5. When a confirmation pop-up appears, click Yes

Subscribed through Amazon 

To change your STV Player+ plan through Amazon, cancel your subscription and re-subscribe with a different plan: 

  1. Cancel your subscription through the Amazon App Store  (see Cancelling a subscription
  2. Wait for your subscription to expire 
  3. Once your subscription has expired, re-subscribe to STV Player+ and choose a different plan and/or subscription period. 

When will I be charged if I change my plan?

The timing of your charge depends on whether you're upgrading or downgrading: 

  • Downgrading to a lower-tier plan: Your plan change will take effect on your next renewal date. 
  • Upgrading to a higher-tier plan: Your plan change will be applied immediately. You will be credited for any unused time left in your current plan and that amount will be applied to your new plan. Your next renewal date with be based on your new plan's start date.

The options for switching between plans will vary by platform.  You can't upgrade from STV Player+ annual to STV Player+ with Premier Sports monthly on any platform.
