Asking for a code
You will be asked to do this when setting STV Player up on the following platforms:
- Youview
- Samsung
- Freeview Play
- Fire TV
- Google TV
- Freesat
- Sky Glass, Sky Q and Sky Stream
- Roku
- Virgin Media
What you need to do is:
- Scan the QR code shown on the screen using the camera on your device (mobile) to do this, not any other app. Or if possible, enter the web address displayed on your TV to the address bar (not a Google search) on another device e.g. Laptop, computer, phone.
- Sign in if prompted with email address and password then click continue
- After signing in or if already signed in you will be prompted to enter the code displayed on your TV and click continue
- You should then see a message on your TV screen confirming activation
Alternatively, if you are having issues with the link or QR code then you can visit stv.tv and choose the TV Activation Code option from the list of links at the bottom of the page to enter your code.
Please note:
- If closing the app, it should remember the activation.
- If signing out you will need to activate again.
- If deleting the app and re-installing you will need to activate again.
